Estate Planning

At Aiello Harris, we have experienced attorneys with advanced degrees to help people plan for their futures.
It is essential to carefully plan for the transfer and disposition of assets in order to minimize taxes payable upon death. This aspect of our practice includes the preparation of wills and estate plans for the disposition of real estate and personal assets including, stocks, business interests and life insurance. Our goal is to maximize assets to our clients' intended
beneficiaries (spouses, heirs, other loved ones or charities) while minimizing or eliminating federal and state inheritance and estate taxes.

To care for our clients during life, we prepare living wills and durable powers of attorney to handle life situations and our clients' finances during periods of their infirmity without the need to resort to the court system.

The types of estate planning we provide involve all of the following techniques as well as developing new techniques as the tax laws change. These techniques include grantor annuity trusts, including sale to grantor trust techniques, self canceling installment notes, planning
with and for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, IRAs and Roth IRAs, qualified subchapter "S" trusts, qualified terminable interest trusts, dynasty trusts, credit shelter trusts, marital trusts, special needs trusts, life insurance trusts including the use of various
split dollar funding methods, qualified personal residence trusts, annuities, sales of remainder interests, family limited partnerships, qualified domestic trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts and private foundations.

Our firm is skillful in determining which estate planning tools are appropriate for our individual clients considering all of their specific needs.

If you need an estate plan, regardless of the size of your estate, contact one of the lawyers at Aiello, Harris, Devero, Marth & Schiffman for a consultation.
